this is awsome!!! i have one little revision sugestion................uh....put a cigarette in his butt. ken
Don't draw anything new, that's just not what blogs are for! They're for dusting off all your old drawings you've secretely loved for years and showing them off to a very small segment of the poulation who might arguably give a rat's ass. And for typing something dumb and getting people pissed at you.
hey mike, i hope that comment wasnt meant for me, tavis has been a friend of mine for years. he knows I joke around sometimes. anyways cheers. great art by the way.
hahahahahahahhahaahhaa, no ken. mike was refering to himself and the comments he made on other blogs. rest assured that your comments are loved by all who read them.
What would the internet be without anger and hate? A dull place I tells ya! That photo on your banner is amazing Tavis! Is that what Canada looks like? I also like the fact that your favorite actor is Robert Culp hahahah! Next you'll be saying your favorite movie is Ishtar! Oh wait, that IS your favorite movie...oh well at least your drawings are good.
BTW, I love your "rubber band lip" theory!!! Another Tavis invention to 'borrow' and claim for my own!! Keep posting 'em so I can keep stealing 'em!
I especially love Ken's comments. And, as always, Tavis' rendition of fingers.
ishtar was before its time. nobody understands it. who couldn't love the bit about the blind cammel?!? thanks for the encouraging words nic. thanks robo, thats quite a compliment. mike, thanks also...have i always drawn fingers like that?
Cool characters! As in cool characters!
These are totally getting taped above my drawing table! Awesome Tavis! That first pose cracks me up.
Great detail on the tongue by the way.
I first noticed Tavis' particular approach to drawing fingers in his now-infamous short film, "Fruit, Juice, Protein!"(If you haven't availed yourself of its crass frivolity, you're missing out. A modern classic) I was taken with the character's tiny digits, little more than stumps, really, but so expressive. What we see here is a minor evolution, some kind of intuitive tweaking, but the flavour reamains the same: Silber-licious!
I love this guy...so much character...great silhouettes...the drawing on the top left is my favourite.
