to: R.A. macneil, st. john str., the doodlers, gabriel, ryan, josh, christopher, pepe, alina chau, carolinejarvis, chris dainty madamegaston, ranny, warren, ken, justin, mike, nic. and to all others who visit my blog. some of you know that there are bad things afoot in my household. my dad is very ill, and i'm finding it increasingly hard to focus on art these days. for some reason, ranny's comments always make me think.... and this time my thought was: i should let my new friends know what's going on.
i thought i'd be able to keep this blog going through this ordeal, but i can't. i just haven't felt motivated or inspired enough to do anything new. the truth is, when i started this blog, i didn't want it to get personal... but i've met so many great people and artists on it that i've had to change my view. so thank you all for your friendship and support. hopefully soon i will find time and inspiration enough to post some art, and add all the links that i had intended. thanks again all you cool cats. i'm glad to know such fine examples of human beings. " Life cannot find reasons to sustain it, cannot be a source of decent mutual regard, unless each of us resolves to breathe such qualities into it." -Frank Herbert
and you folks have certainly done that.

Tav.
Really sorry to hear about your dad. If there's ever anything you need, don't hesitate to ask. I went through some touch and go stuff with my own father a year or two before I met you. It's tough.
I'd offer up a prayer, but I stopped believing in that stuff along time ago. I think I speak for everybody though, when you're ready, we'll all still be here.
Chin up buddy.

Keep positive, Tav, we're all here to encourage you, I'll make sure to keep you and your dad in mind and I hope everything gets better for you real soon. Be good.

Hi There! So sorry to hear that your father is ill. Speaking from experience, it's such a big change when a parent gets sick. Sometimes it feels like childhood is finally over; you can feel vulnerable and small, and the whole family feels under attack.

Don't push yourself too hard. We are sure that you're doing everything you can to help your father. We'll come back and visit again!

Take care,

Arna and John
